Is it that we have inherited the earth from our ancestors or we have borrowed it from our grand children? Today marks the International recognition of earth day, where remarkably 170 countries join hands with 200 million humans to make this planet a better world. Yet, the sluggish response of my faith community warrants acknowledgment and a quick wake up call.
 

Allah says in Qur'an: 'call to the path of your Lord with wisdom and good speech'

We need to learn how to invite others to Islam, it is a skill and a very important one.

AFY is an initiative by the youth of Al-Furqan Mosque. The idea is very simple, i.e to attract the younger brothers to the Masjid. For this we need to create an environment that is welcoming for the youth.

We have invested in a snooker table and table tennis so that the youth can enjoy themselves in the vicinity of the Masjid and can pray on time, inshallah.

Parents are urged to bring their children aged 12+.

How many of us have seen horrific images from Gaza? Images of dead children, bloodied faces, lost limbs?

How many of us wish we could be there to physically help them? Wish we were able, like the Companions were able at Badr, to overcome a bigger, more equipped army, like the Companions were able to overcome the disbelieving army of the Quraysh?

I am now 29, and have been trying to get married for a long time without any success. I am losing hope and even get thoughts of marrying a non-Muslim man? but I know this will be disaster for my relationship to Allah?

Allah says,“I saw in my dream 11 stars and the Sun and the Moon prostrating towards me.” It is well known that the 11 stars represented the brothers of Yusuf (as). However, according to Al-Tabari, the Sun represents the father.
