By the grace of Allah, an Eid dinner was orgainised by the UK Islamic Mission and the New to Islam Group.

The purpose of this event and similar events is to raise awareness among the locals about the beautiful religion of Islam and to cast away the "spell" of Islamophobia that is, unfortunately, constantly cast by a biased media today.

The event went very well and was, alhamdulillah, received as a great and rare opportunity by the general Scottish population, who gave tremendously positive feedback. We thank Allah as well as the brothers and sisters who organised this fantastic event and hope that we get together on our great celebrations like this and try to find out commonalities to join us rather than something that might cause us to be apart.

May Allah give us tawfeeq and accept this in His court and make it in the scale of our good deeds, ameen. You can view some of the photos online.
